"What an incredible experience! The style and character of the house is amazing. The hosts were excellent, they go above and beyond to make you feel at home. Room was perfect with a comfortable bed (#27). Claire House has this incredible charm where you feel cozy even though you know there are ghosts amongst you. Ice fishing excursion is a must do; make sure to dress warmly. If you want to treat your soul to a satisfying getaway, this is the place to do it."

"We stayed at The Claire House for Snow Safari 2023. We absolutely loved our stay! The Claire House is stunning, extremely well updated and has incredible charm. The history and stories of the home are very interesting - one of our favorite stories was the ghost of the little girl running and playing around the house. While the house has amazing ghost stories and sightings, it felt safe and comfortable at the same time. Rachel and Hal put on an incredible week filled with so many fun activities, delicious meals and more! Our favorite activity of the week was ice fishing - something we'd never got to do before! We are so thankful to Rachel and Hal for the best week during Snow Safari 2023 and for making us instantly feel at home!"

"Despite the uncooperative weather, we had a fantastic time at Claire House. This was my first time ice fishing, and I was initially skeptical but ended up having a blast! Our plan to snowmobile was foiled due to lack of snow. No big deal since there were plenty of interesting things to keep us entertained in the giant and historical house. Our suite was enormous and filled with light (Bishop Conroy's Suite). WiFi was strong throughout the building. Hopefully we get to return to go snowmobiling! P.S. There's a lot of paranormal energy attached to the house. Something grabbed my husband's foot in the middle of the night and we think it was the spirit of the little girl.

"You will not want to miss this unique North Country experience! The Kenches created "Snow Safari" to bring you into their home and winter wonderland in Ogdensburg, NY. Meticulous attention to detail within their home as well as curated experiences made this an unforgettable vacation for our family. The snowmobiling was thrilling as was the fishing with delicious snacks inside the heated tent. Experiencing the breathtaking Claire House will leave you with lasting memories.

Claire House was a delight! My daughter and I stayed in The Maid's Quarters, a lovely mondernly decorated room with a comfy attached sitting room. The house as a whole is just beautiful! The hosts are very kind, approachable people ready to help with anything you desire. From the welcome cocktail to the dessert buffet in the evening, to hunting for ghosts, we couldn't ask for more. We will definitely stay here again!
